Elegant apartment in the heart of the lively San Lorenzo

  We (a couple 60-65 years) thoroughly enjoyed our stay in a 3 1/2 room apartment in San Lorenzo. The apartment was very clean, pleasantly furnished, well supplied, and everything worked. Everything. Our hosts at Oh-Rome were exemplary, more than flexible, going out of their way to accommodate our ...late arrival and (should we confess?) heroically rushing back late one night to let us in when we locked ourselves out. There were also a number of good recommendations on where/what was worth visiting locally, and we were more than pleased. We will certainly return and we do recommend Oh-Rome to our family and friends. We should add that San Lorenzo is reliably served by the 71 bus, has a local open market, a variety of lovely restaurants, and local stores for groceries and everyday needs. We liked the friendly reception, even though we arrived rather late, and even though we misunderstood the final payment terms, meaning that Oh-Rome had to make a special trip later in the week to collect payment. The quality of the apartment was very high. It was such a lot of fun and a perfect base for exploring the Eternal City. Thank you so much R. 

  Appartement très bien situé a cote de l'église San Lorenzo. Quartier animé avec beaucoup de restaurants et bars. Grand appartement avec climatisation (c'est un bonheur) et calme. très bonnes prestations (changement draps et serviettes chaque semaine, présence de tous les produits d'entretien, ...contact disponible à tous moments). Bonne literie. Nous le recommandons vraiment. Les contacts sur place sont chaleureux et disponibles.  

  The apartment was clean and spacious, with very welcome fully functioning air-con. The owner was really helpful with our few teething problems (how to work the gas hob, and not to put on the oven as the same time as the air-con; we managed to blow a fuse. Some instructions about this would have ...been helpful, as we had to call the owner on both occasions.) The facilities were just as listed, though there was no DVD player, a slight minus for the children. Good location, once we worked out where to get the bus for Termini (just across the road). 2 supermarkets, fruit and veg, and a market, all just round the corner. Felt very safe, and quite a cosmopolitan area; the people were very friendly and helpful despite us having no Italian. Very picturesque, felt like a truly Italian experience 

  The apartment was beautiful. Everything needed to live comfortably was provided for us and we have never been in such an amazing place to stay. We were about a 15 minute walk away from termini station which made it very easy for us to get around, it was also only about a 30 minute walk into the ...centre. We did a lot of walking which helped hugely reduce travel costs! The area itself took a few days to get used to as we were seemingly the only tourists in our building, but it was worth it. It also gave us more of an experience as if we were actually staying in Rome as locals for the duration of our stay. 

  - MANQUE DE PRESSION DANS LA DOUCHE.... FILET D'EAU.... - PROBLEMES AVEC LES CLES DANS LE HALL D'ENTREE.... DIFFICILE A OUVRIR AUTREMENT TOUT EST OK !!!!

  Schönes lebendiges Uni-Viertel mit vielen guten und preiswerten Restaurants. Die Verbindung mit öffentlichen Verkehrsmittel war mittelmäßig, Straßenbahn 10 Minuten und zum Bahnhof gut 15 Minuten Fußweg

  La personne de contact nous a bien accueillis. Le logement est propre et agréable, lumineux, fonctionnel, sécurisé. L'ascenseur est appréciable. Le quartier est animé sans être trop bruyant. Nombreux commerces et restaurants. Cependant, pour des personnes d'âge mûr, c'est un peu loin du ...centre et des métros. Les lignes de tram à proximité sont très utiles pour aller dans le centre ou au Vatican (3 et 19). Etre à l'écart est aussi un avantage quand la ville est envahie par les touristes et les pélerins. Un très bon séjour. 

  Ein sehr nettes Viertel, abseits der Touristenstrome. Anbindung per Bus am bequemsten. Für Infos über Linien habe ich die Webseite des öffentlichen Verkehrs in Rom benützt. Das Apartment wirkt auf den Fotos viel größer als es ist, was aber den Komfort nicht schmälerte.

  If you want to get away from the tourists, this apartment is in a great location mixed in with the locals and close to the Termini station. Lots of room, clean and the building has an elevator! The apartment has an air conditioner, which wasn't needed as it cools off with the with the windows ...open. The only negative is that it is quite noisy at night. The voices from the street continue into the early morning hours, so light sleepers should beware. Apartment owner was very accommodating and helpful.  

  The apartment was clean & well equipped & very comfortable. With the windows closed it was very quiet for sleeping & the A/C worked very well in the Roman summer heat.It was a short walk to the train station & close to many little resaurants & bistros, & far enough away from the tourist sites for ...prices to be reasonable , but close enough with short rides by public transport to the places of interest. A truly pleasant stay. 

  Tolle Wohnung mitten im Studentenviertel.Super ausgestattet-einziges Mango- Sat-TV funktioniert nicht-haben wir aber nicht gebraucht.Abends erwacht das Leben direkt unterhalb des Balkons.

  L'appartement est au top avec tout le nécessaire. Le quartier est très animé et particulièrement sympa, tout a côté de l'arrêt de bus 71 qui dépose au plein centre de Rome en une dizaine de minutes. Si je retourne à Rome je reprendrais surement ce logement.Il y a lave vaisselle, lave linge,... aspirateur, tout pour cuisiner, frigo congélateur. Un ascenseur ce qui est appréciable quand l'appartement est au 5eme étage.  

  Die Unterkunft liegt im Studentenviertel nahe des aurelianischen Rings. Die Anbindung an die U-Bahn ist o.k. so dass man schnell ins Stadtzentrum und den historischen Plätzen gelangen kann. Abends kann man in den kleinen ortstypischen Pizzarien am römischen Leben teilnehmen. Zudem finden sich ...Lebensmittelgeschäfte und Bäckereien in der Nachbarschaft.  

  Die Wohnung ist sehr gut ausgestattet und die Vermieterin sehr nett und hilfsbereit. Vielen Dank und wir kommen gerne wieder¡

  Sehr schöne Wohnung im Herzen von San Lorenzo.R und R sind ganz liebe Gastgeberinnen. Wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt und kommen sicher wieder.

  Apartment was lovely, location was perfect and owner responsive and helpful. Definitely recomendable.

  The owner kept us waiting on the street with all our luggage for 45 minutes before she arrived with the keys around 5:00pm. (Even though we had contacted her earlier in the day regarding our arrival time.) By 10:00pm the toilet had completely stopped working, and upon contacting the owner, we were... told we must wait until morning as it was Sunday, it was late, and she could not contact a plumber until the next day. We told her we were moving to a hotel, and she was going to pay for it as this was totally unacceptable. By 10:30pm a plumber arrived and repaired the toilet by 11:30pm. There were no other incidences. However, the apartment did not have a toaster nor a real coffee maker as stated in the listing.  

  L'appartement est très agréable,spacieux,plutôt lumineux et bien décoré. La personne de contact très accueillante et efficace. La télé qui ne fonctionnait pas a aussitôt été dépannée. Les équipements sont conformes au descriptif. Contrairement à ce qui est dit dans le descriptif ...l'immeuble possède un ascenseur qui dessert le 5ème étage. Le quartier est sympa, beaucoup de restaurants, pas de touristes mais il est sale et dégradé

  Although the apartment is a 12 to 15 min walk from the Metro, it was nice to be away from the tourist crowds. San Lorenzo is a bustling student area near the university, so there are many bars and it could get quite rowdy - however, after a day of sightseeing, we fell right asleep. The manager R - I... can't say enough about how great she is! She arranged a car from the airport, was there at the apartment to meet us and explained everything about the apartment, arranged a taxi to takes to the train, she's super! And if you look straight down into the side street from the window, there is a restaurant called Osteria de pesce (or something like that) that has the best food! Real home cooking and friendly service - we ate there 4 times in a week, it was that good.
